The Bagel Emporium Of Port Chester

The right place to start a good day. I am here a lot, and cant imagine not having it here.

Local bagel shop, great bagels and coffee. I personally love the variety of spreads they offer with their bagels. It does get a bit busy before noon but I think it’s not that bad. Service is good and they also have tables outdoors. I would definitely recommend it.

I just walked in here 3 days ago because I was working in the area and needed breakfast- I’ve been here every day since and get the same delicious BEC extra bacon on an everything whole wheat (awesome! sandwich is a grease mess and wrapped up perfectly, soaking in the bread. The overnight oats they have on the fridge is a great addition for breakfast, although a bit pricy at $6. Making it at home is something I’m going to try tonight. I’m so spoiled here. I'm not sure I understand why they keep charging different prices for the same selections every time.....

EDIT: unfortunately I have to change my review to 3 stars. I love this place but the service has gone down in a major way. Very few of the employees have a smile on their face and look depressed. If I want to be sad first thing in the morning, I can go to the DMV. The second thing that made me change my review is the consistency. I always ask the person taking my order to toast the bagel BLACK, very dark, I emphasize that because that’s how I like it. I would say 1 out of 10 times do I get it dark, most times it’s lightly toasted. I also ask for extra cream cheese, most times I’ll get a couple tablespoons. I want my bagel packed with cream cheese, don’t care if I have to pay extra. It’s a bummer because this place has amazing bagels, probably the best I’ve ever had to be honest, but the service really kills it. I keep giving this place a chance but most times am disappointed. I have been going to bagel emporium for almost 2 decades, since they were located at the old Caldor shopping center. This location is way better than the one in Tarrytown, much better and fresher bagels. The only problem I’ve ever encountered here was them not toasting my bagel enough but I made a comment about it one day and they refunded me which was totally unexpected and very thoughtful of them. I still come here on a weekly basis and absolutely love their food. My family and I are customer for life.
