What Robert Drake doesn't like about Chili's Grill:
I haven't been to Chili's in a long time, but after my recent visit, I won't be going back anytime soon. The food was disappointing and the only thing I could stomach was the chips and salsa. I left a whole table of uneaten food behind. The only positive was our waitress who was excellent. I attached a picture to show the uneaten food. Unfortunately, Chili's is back on my "no go" list. The restaurant was understaffed, which was evident in our experience. Our server was making an effort, but most of our requests went unfulfilled. The food was decent, but we were unable to take the remainder home as we never received the box we requested. We also had difficulty paying our bill as our order was not in the tabletop unit. We ended up waiting too long for our server.
The food is tasty but a bit expensive. The Nashville hot chicken is amazing and really delicious. It's definitely worth trying.
I was disappointed to find out that Chili's has updated their menu. They no longer offer free chips and salsa if you order the three for me deal. Additionally, they have gotten rid of their original chicken fingers, which have been a staple on their menu for years. The server explained that they had to do this due to batter constraints. The prices have also increased by a dollar, which is understandable given the current situation. However, I am sad to see the beloved original chicken crispers go. They have been a favorite among customers since the restaurant first opened. Now they only offer generic crispy tenders or Chipotle tenders, which I personally do not enjoy. As a former employee, I will not be returning to Chili's anytime soon. It's disappointing to see a restaurant remove a menu item that was loved by so many customers. Good riddance, Chili's.
