Enjoyed our first Port Angeles dining experience and we will be back. We are vegan so finding good dining experiences isn't always easy. Our thanks to Randi, who made us feel welcomed and allowed us to choose where we felt most comfortable. Our vegan pasta dish and the red blend wine was a good choice. Randi checked in repeatedly to insure we had all we needed. We'll be back and will look forward to seeing Randi agai... View all feedback.
What GordonABQ doesn't like about Sapor:
Went to Sapor tonight as a walk in at 7.30pm. Restaurant was pretty empty They said we are busy I asked why they had all these empty tables. No good explanation. Poor attitude. Poor customer service Avoid it View all feedback.
The food was disappointing BUT our server made up for it. For a place that established itself as a fine dining restaurant, we had a very disappointing experience. The Drinks 4/5. They were strong, not going to lie but strong to us is a good thing! I had an irish mule and my bf had one of their specials with tequila as a base.Food we ordered the bread and the clams as appetizers. Bread was thick and soft, but nothing special. Clams were good, we used the bread to also dip in the pesto like base that the clams were resting in.Entrees Bf ordered the mushroom pasta and I ordered the new york steak and asked for it to be rare. Apparently something happened to my NY Steak so it wasn't able to be delivered the same time as the mushroom pasta (no big deal) but our server was sweet enough to comp the appetizers for us, gave us free desserts, and was apologizing profusely. Totally not her fault and we get it it happens! We were having a good time anyway in our corner table drinking our cocktails.Mushroom Pasta was just okay 3/5. The pasta seemed fresh, but it wasn't anything impressing.NY Steak finally came out was paired with fingerling potatoes and brocollini. Steak was cooked more to medium as opposed to rare, but we were hungry and decided to just eat it. Felt it wasn't seasoned enough as it lacked some flavor between bites.Desserts I feel bad for writing a review about the dessert since it was offered to us for free. We had the creme brulee and the chocolate pudding. Creme brulee was too sweet for me so I couldn't even finish after 2 bites. And I am a huge dessert person so if something's too sweet for me, it says a lot.Chocolate Pudding was very solid, which was interesting to us. It was good! we actually boxed the chocolate pudding to go since we were stuffed and we have marshmallows back at our rental so we are planning to toast it up.Although the food was very bland, we did appreciate the restaurant making things right when there was a mistake on their end. I am not sure when Sapor opened, so perhaps they are still finding their own grounds and solidfying it post pandemic? We did like the quiet and dark atmosphere. Their bistro side is very bright and has a more casual feel to it, very different than their dining side.

A hidden gem a bit off the beaten path (through an alleyway, not on the main road). Spent the day hiking in Olympic NP and this was such a good meal to end the day. Abby’s service was incredible and the food was great. 10/10 recommend!
Long overdue review. I had my wedding dinner here in March 2023. We had met with John, the owner, to discuss and plan. We had reserved a section of the restaurant. But on the night of the dinner, John had actually closed the restaurant just for my wedding dinner! We had 2 servers for my party size who were just fabulous and wonderful. John was very accommodating and the food was perfect. The atmosphere, the mood, the lighting, the table decor were all perfect. Very cozy and intimate. My wife and I had no complaints whatsoever. My family and friends loved the food. We highly recommend this lovely restaurant for date nights and special occasions in Port Angeles
