To my disappointment, the drinks were essentially just two glasses filled with ice and hardly any liquid—a mouthful at most! Out of sheer disgust, I felt compelled to write a review and planned to leave right away. I had my 60th birthday party here last Saturday and I couldn't have asked for a better place to host it what a lovely pub the food was amazing and the lovely girl working behind the bar (sorry didn't get her name) worked her little socks off to keep everyone's glasses full Daniel James worked so hard to get all the gorgeous food out everyone was very impressed with how lovely it looked and how fabulous it tasted. So if you are looking for a venue or just want a lovely lunch I would highly recommend The Rope and Anchor x x
Light bite menu absolutely delicious had cheesy chilli chips price and portion such good value. Would definitely eat again
Love this pub. Great food and service every time we visit and always a good choice of beers and wine available. Enjoyed an excellent Mothers Day lunch yesterday and the complimentary glass of bubbles was a lovely touch and very much appreciated. Thanks guys.
It's only the second time we have visited ,the staff are friendly the food is supperb can't fault it very nice place worth a visit.
