Nice village pub situated in an old mill. It was renovated a few years ago and has decent staff and a good range of well kept cask ales. It's very comfy with an open fire on cold evenings and lots of nooks and crannies where you can make yourself comfortable. My only criticism is that you do tend to attract the attention of the regulars when you walk in as a new face which I haven't experienced in any other of the village's pubs. A bit uncomfortable for a few moments and enough that some potential patrons may well decide to do a u turn upon entering. Good choice of food available although I didnt eat there that time.

The staff here were very friendly,it is a nice pub,deceptively small looking from the outside and quite spacious inside it was clean and tidy.There was a FREE pool table towards the rear of the pub, seating varied from table and chairs to comfy sofas and tables where they had magazines to read too. Outdoor seating areais quite small just a couple of tables and chairs. There was a wide range of alcoholic drinks available including local beers. wide vareity of entertainment each day of the week. Refurbished rooms have brought this place up to date. Very pleasant welcome. Bar downstairs is also improved to the point that it's another valid pub in Polperro now. TV screens and some food. Recommended.

Lovely place off the beaten track. Great staff. Lovely ales at a decent price and extremely comfortable settings.... Not eaten there yet, but the food coming out of the kitchen looked and smelled gorgeous..
