Contribute FeedbackNakshatra is not a place you would choose for a romantic date. Initially, the ambiance seemed a bit rundown and I had doubts about eating there. However, we were hungry so we went in. The waiter was very polite and quickly attended to us. We were taken to a separate hut at the back where banana leaves served as our plates. Seeing that they were clean lifted my spirits. A bottle of water was also provided. The menu had typical highway hotel dishes from Tamil Nadu, which the waiter recited with enthusiasm. My wife ordered Chicken Biriyani while I opted for the traditional "Burotta" with Chicken Semi-gravy. We also added a Nattu Kozhi Varuval (country chicken fry) for good measure. The Chicken Biriyani arrived first, followed by the Chicken Semi-gravy. My wife enjoyed the Biriyani for its perfect level of spice. I found the Chicken in the gravy to be delicious. When my "Burotta" was taking longer to prepare, the waiter informed us that it was being made fresh. The Nattu Kozhi Varuval arrived next, but it wasn't as impressive as the other dishes. Finally, after a short wait, I was served two fluffy and soft "Burottas" that were absolutely delightful with the gravy. Our meal at Nakshatra left us satisfied and content. While it may not offer a fine dining experience, if you enjoy simple highway food in a basic setting without any frills, this is the place to go for a fulfilling meal.
