Visit this restaurant through a good Groupon. Charm of places and decoration. We ate very well. The waitress is very friendly while keeping a certain discretion. The chef could be more attractive because the kitchen is open to the room... Much negative however, we were offered a coffee table and armchairs which can be nice to drink a drink. But probably not for a meal. Have to eat on our knees what is neither comfort... View all feedback.
What Valérie Gillet doesn't like about Antipodes Restauration:
when we arrived, we were treated with a drunk indifference. service was very slow and poor food. the last drop was when an elderly member of our group was charged 22 euros for a bottle of beer and a bottle of 33 cl perrier! to add insult to the injure, the items in question did not even appear on the list of drinks. the evening was a total disaster and our complaints about overcharge were received with arrogance and... Excellent meal, wonderful setting, a hidden jewel with poitiers. food was first class, freshly prepared, very hot and generous portions
From the outside, the restaurant looks quite ordinary, because it is located in a not very old building, but when you enter the restaurant, you find yourself in an old cellar of the monastery where the monks were singing. the chef prepared very good dishes and the wine map was large enough to satisfy our needs.
We were taken to this restaurant by a friend. the exterior is fade, but the interior is beautiful. After taking the time to browse the menu, our order was placed. food came and was simply exceptional. we were all four more than satisfied with both food and service. I would recommend a visit if you're a poitiers, even if it's not cheap.

The outside does not allow for the spectacular setting of this restaurant located in the choir of an ancient church. A friend and I went there for lunch. After being ignored for several minutes, we were taken to a table and left there to ask us for an additional 15 minutes if anyone would ever take our order, despite the fact that there were only two other customers apart from us. After about 20 minutes, we were served. food was mediocre to mediocre. the red wine we ordered was pink and not particularly pleasant. The service was at the limit of the impolitity. I'll certainly not go back for lunch. For what it was, it was expensive. However, I also had a groupon coupon for a dinner for two, that my husband and I used a few months later. Once again, we stayed standing for several minutes before anyone noticed us, but once we had our table, the service was impeccable, despite the restaurant filled to full capacity and excellent food. There was a live jazz band playing a discreet volume that didn't interfere with the conversation. in total, a very pleasant evening. If I hadn't had lunch there, I would have noticed it four stars. but the experience of lunch was really very bad, from which a star for it, and a suggestion that if you go to eat there, go to the evening, not at noon.
