What Nerissa Maria Ward likes about The Original Mels Diner:
We always stop here on the way to Reno! The best clam chowder I have had in a long time outside of the San Francisco pier area, and that corn bread served with it, was incredible. I have to tip my hat to the cook who made my burger, as it was perfect, the patty crisp from the grill, and a good proportion of veg, to sauce to meat, on a hearty bun. I'm only giving 2 because it's cheap and I work in the casino. Service here is garbage they take forever to seat you and never come back to refill ur drinks. Sabrina our first waitress was not serious and too sarcastic and our waiter on graveyard shift didn't care. I tip little here even with bad service because I too get tips. View all feedback.
