Good, hot dog. I'm a C Caspers fan I grew up with. Can I say the difference in one head? Probably not. I get two regulars with everything, BBQ chips and a root beer. Children like simple or with Mayo and a Cheetos bag. View all feedback.

The ORIGINAL KING OF BAY AREA HOT DOGS. If I feel like cheating my favorite Casper's Hot Dog, I'm going to the hot dog of Kasper. When I feel like cheating on the hot dog of Kasper, I'll go to the hot dog of Casper. Yes, it sounds strange, but there is both the hot dog of a Kaspers and the hot dog of a Kaspers. this kasper's location is close to home and works in a pinch when I feel like not being so healthy. I can easily order two of these below with mustard, onions, tomatoes and relish. The dogs and bungalows are perfectly steamed to order perfection and vegetables cut. there is usually only one older woman who works behind the counter and she does it quickly. She deals with every customer food and money, but wash her hands before they move on. I love seeing this! Now I'm really a hot dog! I think I'll get one of Kasper and one of Casper. So I've got all the sip on the whole Kasper's vs kasper's hot dog thing. they are family and about a reef back to the day they split and one has changed a letter to do its own thing. in these days, while both are very popular and similar they are very different in deed. casper's is a beef hot dog mixed with pork and kasper's in a whole beef hot dog. I tend to find the Kasper a little more on the spicy side, but still damn good. give a try to the turkey dog! It's so hard to tell about the real thing with all fix-ins. It's pretty good!
When you look at the menu, it was hard to justify $5 for a hot dog, but since I was there, I thought I would at least try the Quarter-Pfund-Hund (above like a Kraut-Hund plus Relish). Had the exit and had it at home. The meat was of good quality and the blows were great! The sweet relish against the saltiness of the sauerkraut and the seasoned tomatoes were beautiful. There is good reason why this store has been 33 years old I'll be back to try some of their other toppings.
This place was always a favorite. Great people, great dogs... Just an all around great time. Very sad to see them close. I hope they pop up somewhere local again.
If you eat hotdogs and in Pleasanton, than Kasper's is an Absolute MUST visit. I live in Portland and will literally fly to Pleasanton occasionally just for their hotdogs. Business has been there for at least 3 decades, most likely more. Try it with their chili.
