Mom’s Bar and Restaurant

I was a bit sick of Mexican food. This was awesome! Homemade mashed, Ribs, and pulled pork. Definitely a winner!

Went to Mom’s it was a casual, comfortable eatery! The servers and the guests were friendly and open. All but one of us had a great meal. The ribs were moist and pork chops looked amazing after being cooked directly on the grill.It is easy to get too by walking or a quick cab ride. It is also a wonderful place to sit outside on the upper level and watch the traffic and people movements. I will definitely come back.

What a treat !! After being in Playa for a month we were craving some food that tasted like "Home". I had mashed potatoes and breaded porkchop. My husband had the BBQ ribs. I can not begin to tell you how much we enjoyed our meals. The place is not fancy and not in a tourist area. Well off 5th avenue. We felt safe and would return. Food was inexpensive.

Went there on a Friday night at 6 PM and were virtually the only ones there. They only take cash and the menu was not as extensive as I had seen on other posts. We both had the hamburgers, which were very tasty, and being that we were the only ones there, had excellent service. The exchange rate at the restaurant for the dollar is whatever the current exchange rate is less one peso per dollar.

Get the ribs with mashed potatoes and gravy! After watching videos of Mom's on YouTube, this was a must-stop on our family trip and it did not disappoint. Prices were more than fair and food was delicious. Cool hangout on second level a short walk from fifth avenue. Owner is a good guy that really wants to take care of his customers.
