I wanted to try more creole art dish but the options we had the kitchen gamut and were plentiful. think they had four or five vegan options. my friend and I shared the veggie chow my and carburel (the were my fave!). directly in the heart of Placencia, friendly staff as everywhere in belize. Vegetable curry is really tasty. Cocktails are yummy. Wait staff is very friendly.
We asked a local woman for a recommendation on where to find good vegetarian food, and she suggested Wendy's. This restaurant offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Dinner prices are higher than lunch prices, but they have special offers around lunchtime. Unfortunately, the daily special is never vegetarian or vegan. They offer burgers, wraps, and fajitas. Despite this, I decided to try the dinner menu which cost 24 Belizean dollars. It was vegetarian, not vegan. I ordered breaded zucchinis and eggplants with tomato salsa, baked with cheese. I really enjoyed it and found it to be very filling, even though it did not come with any sides. The service was friendly and they offer two seaweed shakes - one with seaweed peanut butter and one with tropical fruits. The waitress informed us that the shakes contain alcohol, but we could request it without alcohol. Since the locals in Placencia rave about how healthy it is, I tried the tropical shake. It was delicious, and I enjoyed it so much that I forgot to take a picture.
I wanted to try a Creole-style dish, but the restaurant offered a variety of cuisine options. They had four or five vegan choices. My friend and I shared the veggie chow mein and cabbage rolls, which were my favorite. The restaurant is located in the heart of Placencia and the staff is friendly, just like everywhere else in Belize.
We sampled the vegetable chow mein and vegetable stew, and found them both to be delicious. However, the menu had limited options to choose from.
We asked a local lady for a good place to eat vegetarian food and she recommended wendy’s. they have breakfast, lunch and dinner. the evening meal is more expensive than lunch, because around the midday they have special offers. However, the daily special is never vegetarian, not to mention vegan. they have burgers, packings and fijatas. still I ordered an dinner menu (24 b)$. it is not vegan only vegetarian. I had baked toccinis and aubergines with tomatensalsa, with cheese baked. I liked it very much and it was really really filling, even it does not come with any side. the service is really friendly. they have two juniper, one with sweetened peanut butter and one with tropical fruits. the waitress told us that they contain alcohol, but we did not do it at all. also she said it is possible to adapt it and leave the alcohol out. because the people in placencia all swear how healthy it is, I tried the tropical. it was so good, I forgot to make a picture
