Diners rave about the delicious food, particularly the cornbread skillet and taken-off jambalaya, while some dishes, like mac and cheese with pulled pork, fell flat. Service can be hit or miss, with reports of inattentive staff and order mishaps. Despite some challenges, the overall dining experience shines through, especially with standout items like onion rings and calamari. Conveniently located, this eatery remains a noteworthy option for those exploring the area.
The service we received was excellent, the drinks were fantastic, and the food was exceptional! The cornbread skillet was delicious and the catfish and hush puppies were wonderful. Although my risotto was not warm, everything else on my plate and my friend’s bowl was, so it wasn’t a big deal. I had never tasted such delicious hush puppies until trying them there. Our waitress, Audrey, was fantastic and we will be sure to request her next time we visit. I appreciated that there were surveys to fill out, showing that the management cares about the restaurant’s performance. The atmosphere was great and we enjoyed everything about our experience. Looking forward to returning soon!
I went to this restaurant to watch a Pittsburgh Penguins game and sat at the bar. The beer selection was good, with mostly mainstream options and a few local beers. I started with the calamari as an appetizer, which was cooked perfectly and came with a delicious sweet and spicy sauce. However, the mac and cheese with pulled pork was disappointing as it lacked flavor and the pulled pork was barely noticeable. My wife ordered the PEI Mussel Pot, which was tasty but missing the kielbasa that was listed on the menu. It was unclear if it was a mistake or a typo.
I went for dinner on a Sunday in September. The food was delicious. However, there was a long wait before being seated and the food took longer than expected. I ordered the TP Meatball and the Pierogies, both of which were excellent. The dishes were creamy, cheesy, and very flavorful. The portion sizes were more than enough for me.
This place is awesome and the food and drinks are delicious. Right across from the convention center in the heart of downtown. Service was great and the environment is cozy. Great place to try if your downtown.
