Located on the Southside of Pittsburgh, this family-run restaurant has been a staple for decades, starting as a small food cart and growing through hard work and loyalty to its customers. With traditional cuisine and a warm atmosphere, this eatery is a must-visit spot for those looking for late-night food. The owner is known for his hospitality, making patrons feel like family during their visit. The menu offers a variety of tasty options, with highlights including the chicken shish kabobs, shrimp spring rolls, and General Tso's Tofu. While some dishes may lean towards being overly sweet, the overall experience and generous portions make it a worthwhile visit for those seeking delicious takeout or dining in amidst a lively neighborhood setting. Whether craving juicy chicken, tasty tofu, or flavorful beef stew, this place has something for everyone, earning its reputation as the go-to spot for Southside dining.
The best place on Southside to scrub after the party at night. The chicken on a stem with roasted rice is legendary. The owner himself is a whole show. He goes out to make sure you feel welcome and take care of you. He must have been a former comedian because he makes talks with ease from thin air and has quick fire comebacks for your answers. The food itself is a bit pricier but appropriate for Southside. You definitely get your money with the huge part where the food comes. Part of food is while part of food is meh. I recommend the shrimps spring rolls and chicken on a stem.
The food is good. It's a little sweet, but it's good. The owner makes the place so special. The family seems super nice and friendly.
These are the Sunday afternoon remnants from the Friday evening trip. The food was super fresh. The portions were great. The taste is as brilliant as you hope. And they made me feel like family for the few minutes. Very recommended.
This place has the best chicken I've ever had in my 3 decades on this planet. Tonight I said I'd just make a sandwich in my hotel room. Then I got hungry and discovered this place. The prices looked good, so I and my wallet (it's cashless! I stopped. The portions were plentiful (keet of chicken on rice and 2 mini spring rolls). The lady who took my order told me that I tried the sauce (it was so good! and kept my bag and container upright so that it did not spill what I liked. I have quite high standards for chicken. This was juicy and bursting with taste and had some nice appearance on the outside with a beautiful texture overall. WOW.
I love their food OMG it's always fresh hot and super tasty . Truly one of my favorite places to eat on the Southside
