Amazing dinner at the Oaks. I had the Filet, my husband had the NY Strip. Both were cooked to perfection and delicious. Service was amazing-although we didn’t have reservations they were able to accommodate us. Will definitely return when we are back in the area.

The meal's protein was well sized (filet and strip), but sides and salad were kinda skimpy. Delicious meal.

I came with some friends for dinner from an archery tournament in Pipestem. Right off greeting was good, but all of us weren 't able to sit together. There were 7 of us. 4 of Our friends left, apparently from something their waitress said. I3 of us stayed and I ordered a New York strip steak medium well. It came to the table medium rare. The new york strip had a lot of gristle, and improperly cooked. The waitress said they could put it back on the grill and cook it more. I feel a $57.00 piece of meat should be cooked properly the first time. I wasn 't able to finish it. I tried to tuff it out but after about half I didn 't even desire to. They didn 't offer to make amends in any way. You can 't put a piece of meat already eaten off on back on the grill . Maybe in my back yard, but not in a restaurant.

My fiance and I received gift cards as a Valentine's gift. I had never been before, much less heard of The Oak before. We both were blown away. Everything was exceptional. We had the fried green tomatoes as an appetizer with Caesar and house salads. I had the New York Strip and she had the Filet Mignon. Our vegetables were tri-colored carrots with seasoned kale; she had roasted potatoes and I had sweet potato mash. All around the best meal I've ever had. The staff was very accommodating when I had to change our reservation. In my opinion, they set the standard for fine dining. While The Oak is an expensive experience compared to our normal dining preferences, it is absolutely worth it to make include them in your special occasions. I very much want to go back!
