I can't praise this restaurant enough. We arrived shortly after it opened and only had to wait about 10 minutes. The staff efficiently seated us as soon as a table was ready. I ordered the ribeye steak, which was the best I've had. The family-style sides of potatoes and green beans were delicious. The variety of desserts to choose from was impressive, and the chocolate cake was the highlight of the meal. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The Old Mill:
Oiur group was seated quickly and received our food quickly. However, I felt as if we were almost rushed to hurry up. It seemed as if we were an annoyance to our waiter. He was not very friendly and acted as if he didn't care about our party at all. I thought the food was good, but I was very disappointed with the service of this restaurant. View all feedback.
Great service and even better eating! great place to stop and eat when they are in the opposite and they can even in general business right next to the resturaunt and business while they wait!
The Old Mill was on the top of our list to have dinner. We were not disappointed. It is a long hour wait to get a table. There are some cute shops around to window shop, but you don’t want to go too far since they call out names. They are not up-to-date with technology for pavers or text messages. When you get seated, there is 4 course meal that includes yummy corn fritters and biscuits. The pot roast was amazing. My son enjoyed the Ribeye Steak. The dessert were so good too. The service is really friendly and quick.
Soup was delish! Fritters we're great. Pot roast was very good. Pot pie was a little too soupy. Chicken meals were good. Service was very good as always. Samples of corn meal cakes at the store so we bought a large bag of mix. We can't wait to try to make them when we get home. Always fun to visit the Old Mill.
Stopped in here because of the stellar reviews. We had a final day before we left breakfast here. Their jams, biscuits and muffins are amazing, but their other fare meh. This place is busy, and I mean watch uout going up and down the stairs because you may run into a server using the same route. Fortunately, I did not but witnessed a few close calls. The restaurant is clean, but dated. View over the river is nice, but most times you're overlooking the parking lot. Service was averge, and food was served promptly. Kids had pancakes w/ bacon; and eggs w/ sausage. Both said their meals were ok. I had the ham and cheese omlette w/ onions green peppers but truth-in-advertising should have been called onion green pepper omlette with cheese and tad bit of ham. They tried the old restaurant presentation trick of putting some ham cheese on top to make it appear' that the omlette was bursting with these two ingredients. Fortunately, I used to be a cook and when I peeled back the flap of my omlette it revealed it full of onions, I mean FULL. Some green peppers some cheese, and few small flecks of ham. Very disappointed. It was also flavorless. Just bland. Service: Average Food: Average Parking: paved lot (read the signs) Bathrooms: clean Would recommend: Meh Would re-patronize: No
Thought both the food and the service were very good. The pecan pie was excellent. I am kicking myself for not buying a whole pie for $16.
