Went here for a work lunch. My lunch mate said she didn't like spicy and was hesitant to try Indian food. That quickly passed when she saw all the delicious dishes coming out of the kitchen. It was amazing. Not only at lunch, but the leftovers kept really well too. View all feedback.
What Ash GR doesn't like about Amma's South Indian Cuisine:
I had the South Indian thali, very basic and staple meal. Curd was not included, although curd being another basic in any South Indian meal. But we were given 10 small side dishes, pickle, dal, rasam, sambar, 2 curries, 1 appetizer etc. nothing extraordinary about the food, but can go if you are missing home food. I tried some chicken dishes, again simple curry and korma type. It’s a little expensive compared to othe... View all feedback.
Food was OK, pretty par for the course for an Indian restaurant. Ambience was only slightly better than in a regular strip mall, service was good but not great. The prices, however, were more appropriate for an upscale dining experience.Would have been great if they had provided food, ambience and service that matched the prices.Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian options.
Good South Indian food. The chef prepared jain chilly paneer which was very good. Dosa was also good.Tried south Indian thali which was very filling.Dietary restrictions: Some items available in jain without onion and garlic.
This is one of our favorite Indian restaurants. We had dined in and ordered delivery. The food is always well cooked, fresh, and tasty. Our favorites are the vegetarian tiffin combo, the onion and potato dosa, the gobi Manchurian, the tikka masala, and the different types of lassi. The only downside is that it can be expensive.Food: 5/5
Great tasting indian food, we had vegetarian and loved it. Restaurant is next to city hall. Food tasted authentic indian with spice adjustmentsVegetarian options: spice adjusted and very tasty
There is nothing positive that I can say about this restaurant. We were served warm water on a very hot day) and had to ask for ice. It took a very long time for a server to come to our table to take our order They were not busy). Our appetizer came out cold and one entree was also cold, so we had to send back two items. My husband also had to get his own plate since they had to heat up our appetizer and entree. They never gave him a new plate . The dal curry was tasteless so was the rice. No one ever came to our table to ask how everything was. They were very quick to give us our check and clear the table for the next customer. We eat Indian food often and by far this was the worst and I will never return!
