We had only one night in the Gargano and spent the night in Peschici on the recommendation of a friend. Chose the Ristorante Fra Stefano as we liked the menu after strolling thru the old town. Despite a TripAdvisor rating of only in the mid forties, we had a wonderful meal. The restaurant was full but, we were told that we could have a a particular table in 10 minutes and asked to wait. We waited until the previous people had finished and then sat down but when an Italian group came in we were told to get up so that they could have that table and that we would have to wait for another. Nice restaurant located in the center of peaches, convenient if you are making a visit to the village. Stunning appetizers (baccalà balls if, I don't remember badly, and stuffed mussels). the other dishes were half step back, especially the first, good but simple the octopus, good the shrimps.
