Another review mentioned overpricing, but with good service and okay food. The need for improvement in main course selection and service quality was noted in another review, with specific dishes like fish and lamb being subpar. However, the article also highlights positive experiences, such as attentive staff, a limited but appealing menu, and delicious dishes like Summer Peaches and Valley Spring Lamb. The venue's elegant atmosphere and excellent hospitality were also highlighted, with the welcoming concierge enhancing the dining experience. In contrast to initial skepticism about hotel restaurants, Post was commended for its full and well-designed space, offering polished service and a varied menu with impressive wine selection. Finally, a high tea event for a baby shower was praised for its beautiful setting, friendly staff, and allergy-friendly menu, with standout items like smoked salmon madeleine. Overall, while some reviews were critical of certain aspects, the restaurant has also received positive feedback for its ambiance, service, and specific dishes.
The treasury lounge in como hotel is located in the state buildings on the terrace of st george. in the history the lounge is elegant and elegant and sophisticated, and we sat on a table with views of the terrace and the rats house. In the afternoon the most must be booked in advance and can be taken with a glass taittinger brut champagne reserve, a glass sekt great southern australian wein (from Denmark) or alcohol for free. all versions include unlimited mano a mano coffee, and tee, with a selection of assam breakfast, earl grey, chai, pfefferminze, oolong, white pebbing, jasmin pearls or long jing delivered with tees by jing. the prices range from $55 to $80 per person.
A friend has set a section for a baby shower. such a beautiful place and the staff were so friendly. high tea was amazing! one of the best I had. they were even for allergies and special diets. they enjoy especially the smoked salmon madeleine and the pariser lean. can not wait to come back, especially as their menu is seasonal.
Our party had gnocci, salads, fish of the day, triple cooked potatoes with garlic and rosemary, and then lemon and pistachio dessert and a tiramisu. Everything was just delicious and beautifully presented; the service was friendly, efficient and professional. The venue is very special, and...the music and lighting was just right. A really lovely night out and very happy bellies all round.
Took a chance and tried a walk in for dinner on a busy night and the maitre'd was fantastic very friendly and efficient. Found us (party of 3) a table that had just been vacated and had us seated in 5 minutes with drinks on...the way. All of our meals were excellent well cooked and seasoned, Like many restaurants these days you had to order the sides as extra's but I am used to doing this at many establishments so no problems with that. Overall was a great experience and we all agreed that we would be happy to dine there again.
I tend to be a bit doubtful about restaurants at hotels, but post sits quite independently as a great destination. it is a Sunday night and the place is full and well designed. polished service welcomes us and is for most of the...seven we choose the four courses that allow us to get a cross-section of the menu. the wine list is impressive and well thought out.
