Still fantastic with the new chef! The food is delicious, and the view is breathtaking. We were initially concerned when we found out the old chef had left and had low expectations, but we were pleasantly surprised by the new chef's skills and the overall quality of the dining experience. We had dirty bird sandwich and was shocked to find out it was a piece of deep fried chicken on a rather plain bun. Who eats deepfried these days???? I expect that at a Pub but not at a Winery with such a classy environment. I never eat deepfried and I am sure the menu did not disclose the item was deepfried!!! Perhaps that was the dirty part. The seafood soup was tasty but had 1 tablespoon of seafood in it...not exac... View all feedback.
Great meal and great service. Our server was amazing!!!
I made a resevation for 4 at 7pm. Reservations are useless. They dont save you a nice table. They just say pick a table from whats left. P.s. they only had 2 reservations. Rest were random walk ins. The chairs on the patio are uncomfortable plastic patio chairs so your legs are hot. If you get a good table the view is nice but a reservation wont help. We were offered a wine tasting but the bar tender/server told us to stand there and left for 10 minutes. We like their moscato. The bottle of wine and good company are the only things that salvaged the night for me. We drank most of it before the meal came. It took a long time, they claimed they were backed up. Only eight tables taken. Hmmm. The food we ate was good. Maybe a bit pricey, for example 6 or 8 dollars for a side of potato chips. I have been here before a few times and had far better service. I can only guess at the staff/manager changes. I didnt take pictures as it would only be of the back of peoples necks and a dirt pile. Sorry, I may still pick up a bottle of wine but lost my business for dinner. If you want to be upscale you should have upscale service and seating.
The view was amazing and so was the food. The service was friendly, but unknowledgable about the wines offered. We asked several questions about the wine and the associate had no idea. We chose Play Estate Winery due to the many positive reviews on the food. And the food was excellent. Suggestion offer wines that pair nicely with items on the menu.
Fantastic food and fantastic wine. Dirty bird chicken sandwich (stolen name from Australia for KFC was awesome. Love the 2015 Applause
Even though it was mentioned on our reservation there was no recognition that it was a birthday. Halibut was dry as was the pasta
