Ideal location for capturing the tourist hordes that flock here every year. We took in breakfast and the food was very good. (shout out to the homemade jam for the toast) We timed it wel as it was not too busy but the waitress said that they would be swamped in another half hour. View all feedback.
What FJDriver doesn't like about Sou'Wester Gift & Restaurant Ltd:
A classic tourist-centric restaurant and gift shop. Plan on enjoying seafood, because that 's what is local. Although there are non-seafood options (club sandwich, burger). We enjoyed a substantial lunch, but it was not an over the top experience. View all feedback.
My partner and I were at this restaurant for lunch on our visit to Peggy's Cove. The building in which the restaurant is located has two parts: a large souvenir shop and its own restaurant. The food here was very good and our waitress was very nice and friendly. Although there were a lot of people, we were seated immediately. We waited a little longer for the food itself and then the bill, but otherwise everything was fine. Higly recommend.

The Sou’Wester restaurant in Peggy’s Cove is split between half gift shop half restaurant. I dined here in Early July with my partner and enjoyed the experience. I opted for the Haddock dinner which came with French fries vegtables. The portion was large and the fish was very good. My only quibble is that the service was a tad slow. Overall a good experience.
After you have walked around and taken photos of this picturesque fishing village, Go and explore the two floors of this wonderful store filled with every imaginable souvenir item. I found the second level more interesting with jewelry made out of local stones, a display of tartan items, and wonderful array of fun placemats. If you have time, make a quick stop in the restaurant for coffee and danish. There is a separate breakfast menu, as well as a lunch and dinner menu. The waitress can give you your coffee in a to-go cup. Coffee is good. Service is friendly and excellent.
