I had the Wels dinner with fries and the quiet option. My wife ordered the chicken. The chicken was really good, but her potatoes were cold. The gravy was tasty but could have used a bit more salt and pepper, although that might just be a matter of personal preference. Also, the roll was burned. View all feedback.

We used to love Merle’s. However, it’s going downhill. They recently changed their menu, and no longer have baked potatoes. They charge an additional $3 for a side salad, when the cost difference is $1.50 between that and fries on the menu. When my salad came, it was browned and full of the hard parts that aren’t easily edible. (The salad was refunded. . Our waitress also didn’t seem like she wanted to be here.

It was a little after nine and the kitchen was already close even though the sign said opened until 1am.
The chicken gizzards are delicious. I had the catfish and chips, tender and tasty.
I had the Merle Burger. It was amazing but my daughter had the chicken strips. She said look bigger than my face.
