Good parking. Pleasant but slow service. EXTENSIVE MENU well organized but still overwhelming. Great food that came out in this fun boat. They have a rewards system too. Who doesn't love coupons!?!? We will be back. View all feedback.
What Art V doesn't like about Little Tokyo:
Beef teriyaki very tough meat and taste like old meat. Will never come back. Not authentic Japanese food. Been there and have eaten much better food than served here. View all feedback.
I just moved into the area, so I've been exploring and trying the local fare. I recently had a rather debilitating illness and couldn't eat for about 8 days (literally, no food or drink for 8 days). So 8 days later, and about 8 pounds lighter, I was hungry. I came in around 3 in the afternoon. There was only one guy working the floor and only two other customers, so the service was good. The two customers were talking quiet loudly for such a small and quiet place, so that was slightly annoying. One of the fellows has a voice like Piglet from Winnie the Pooh, but yelling. It got old. Nice decore, small place, tucked in a small shopping strip. The menu was HUGE. Like, just stop and go home kind of huge. Whether it's a bunch of repeat things slightly changed, or a wealth of fishy goodness, I don't yet know. But this place definitely has a diverse selection for the adventurous fish-o-philes. I started with the salmon sake. Delicious and each piece the size of my tongue $1.75 each. Fresh and goooood. I judge a sushi joint by its salmon. They passed. Order number 2, was the softshell crab. It was fantastic! Cooked just enough for a slight outer crunch, and soft delicious innards! It came out pretty quickly, and was served with a warm bowl of some sauce. Very good, and definitely worth getting again. For the third and final order, I chose the Noah's Ark Roll. It was very good. I think it might have been a little too heavy on the mayo, but seeing as this was my first actual solid food in 8 days I could be quite sensitive to the flavors. But even so, that roll was filled with salmon, eel, tuna and everything else your mouth would want to have in it. Well.... almost everything. It is served in a large portion, and is definitely worth a go. All of my oral experiences at Little Tokyo have pictures to go with them. Feel free to take a gander. The waiter was a nice fella. Very well mannered and courteous. I think service is damn near as important as the food, so they get a good grade on that too. Go there. Eat fish. Be happy.
The food seemed reheated and a bit stale. I understand that during Covid times businesses are struggling so I didn't give a one star rating.
This restaurant is very underrated in my opinion. I come here because of the freshness and taste of the food; and dismissed the service. Agree with some reviewers that their service isn't that great. Servers are nice but not attentive and work very slow. Mostly chit chat and not paying attentions. But come here for the foods! I have been coming here for at least 5+ years, and the foods have never been disappointed. My favorite appetizer: Yellowtail Ceviche and Spicy Hot Mussels Favorite rolls: Chief roll, Best roll, C&C roll, Pasadena roll, Hot Jack Roll, Lauri's Shaggy Dog roll, (ask for less rice) Sushi: Spicy Chopped Scallops !!! Even with togo, their foods were very good and fresh. (They just forgot about my soy sauce)
Located right off of Broadway in Pearland, this quaint little gem of a restaurant exceeded my expectations. We came here for lunch around noon, and quite surprisingly it was not busy till about 1pm. We ordered 6 different rolls, each roll was delicious and best of all inexpensive!
Ehhhhh everyone here on the reviews discussing the great food here has to be staying far away from Houston. If you have ever frequented oishii, kata robata, even miyakos then you will be entirely underwhelmed with this lackluster place. This place is located on the busiest street in Pearland , SO DONT LET THE EMPTINESS/LACK OF CUSTOMERS FOOL YOU. I fell for the trap but never again... here we go I sat down at the bar and grabbed crab rangoons without blinking as that's something so hard to **** up, usually prepared early or ordered out of kitchen from a supplier if your crumby, regardless... still HARD TO **** UP! The bartender came out with crispy chips topped with KRAB with a K, CUCUMBER?!, and melted American cheese on top. It was one of the more disgusting combinations of food I've paid for. Felt like a fool not sending it back but I ordered it and I don't sent anything back. Next was the menu, good lord! I have read Harry Potter books shorter than this menu! The options are simply overwhelming and not needed. They change or add one ingredient and the roll gets a whole other name. 100+ rolls all separately named. Everyone likes options but DAMN! Felt like I was cramming for an exam trying to find what I wanted in that chapter book of a menu! The reason this place gets three stars in only for the bartender who I learned though conversation was in currently enlisted in the military. Attentive, nice and helpful. He was not the reason this place sucked. This place needs some major management and ownership changes. the locations it's in leaves no excuses on why this place isn't extremely packed.
