Tried this spot for the first time and sad to find out they're closing down on November 30, 2023. Loved how quick and convenient it was to grab food. Small spot with 3-4 tables only. Food was decent for a last minute dinner. View all feedback.
What Miranda K doesn't like about Gangnam Ave 2go:
I dunno what's happening lately but they're removing classic mainstay items off their menu. Kimbap? All gone, you can't order it anymore off of the DoorDash menu or any other delivery service that I've tried. Their tteokbokki has gotten watery and not nearly as spicy as it used to be. Their black bean noodle, while not bad, is a bit bland. I thought things were looking up with new items being added, like the fried seaweed rolls (a common Korean side item added in meals) but they too are gone or are not consistently available. I'll still be going here but man, hope this isn't a trend!
This place is going downhill from where it was before. Pretty clear there's been some sort of change in management and cooking. Not only are the ingredients different (probably cheaper) but the taste is no longer up to par. Wish Gangnam Ave 2go return back to how they were just few months ago.
I wanted kimbap and this was the closest place that had it but when I arrived it wasn't available. It was a very disappointing trip. I got their chicken and beef bulgogi box and ham/cheese corn dog. There wasn't any ham on the corn dog. If I had known there would be a drizzle of sauce on top, I would have opted out of it. I gave one to my toddler niece and she requested to remove the sauce. I had to scrape the sauce off. The corn dog also had a fried fish smell to it. The odor seeped into the breading. The chicken and beef bulgogi provided were a good portion. The side dishes were kimchi, broccoli, japchae, bean sprouts, fish cake and mandu. I didn't have to wait long for my order and the cashier was friendly. Their corn dog needs to have ham and be fried away from fishes. The restaurant has a few tables, unsure if dine in is an option. I mostly saw to-go orders.
I got the Spicy pork rice bowl and this dish was so yummmy, they also added the side dishes (broccoli, bean sprout, and japchae) in it underneath the pile of delicious pork!!! I also got the Korean cheese corn dog, the batter was so fluffy and crispy and the sauce was soooo goood!!! I originally came for the Kimbap but they had a sign on it saying it wasn't available. Please keep it on the menu!!!
