We visit here a couple of times a year. We find the staff friendly and it's fun to watch your food being cooked. You select what you want cooked - for the meat there's a choice of pork, beef, lamb and chicken - then you can add pineapple, carrot, beansprouts, onion, tomato etc. There's a good selection of sauces. Once your food has been cooked you can add fried rice, noodles and prawn crackers. We always have a fun e... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Kublai Khan Mongolian Restaurant:
Went here with my family for a birthday, and not only was the food completely bland and uninspired, even with sauce heaped on, but I thought it couldn't be very hygienic. And I was right, moments later we had awful stomach pains and had to stop on the way home to use a bathroom. NEVER eating here again. View all feedback.
Just amazing, we had been before quite a few years ago, so coming back and finding that nothing has changed was just brilliant. The friendliness off the stand is outstanding and the whole dining experience is incredible. Watching the masters at work on the gigantic...BBQ using the long chopsticks and cooking the food that you have put together is great fun. You choose your meat (beef, pork, lamb and chicken) and vegetables, sauces, then Hand the bowl over to the chefs watch it sizzle and cook and done. The choose your rice or noodles and enjoy. You can go back as many times as you want. The chocolate dessert is also a must do.
Just love this place. Run for over 25 years by the current owners. Food always fresh and very flavorsome. Very reasonably priced and BYO too.
Kubla khan is a unique culinary experience. it is a real Mongolian restaurant. you choose your ingredients that you give to the cook and cook it on a big hot sign. the personal is there to help them choose different combinations of meat,. sweet and sauces. it is all they can eat to make sure they are hungry when they go.
It looks like a beautiful casual Asian restaurant but they get to get their own ingredients and a chef pours them on a huge sign that is heated by redgum fire and stir them straight ahead. it's cool and the place smells... working great friendly staff.
The popularity of this restaurant is strong, this is not a fine cuisine but if you and some friends like to enjoy a night out without breaking the bank it's highly recommended. You will never go hungry and all meals are served hot off the...Mongolian wok cooked for you. Please book esp on Saturday as I see many people turned away because it's so popular that it's fully booked. Your choice of how and what you wanted to eat, select your meats and vegetables and experiment yourself to a few choices of sauces so that you can go back for more of different choices and combinations as many times as you like and self served of fried rice and fried noodles. Wine list is reasonably priced. Good customer service. Highly recommended if you just want a nice fun meal with family and friends.
