Everything was fantastic. The pho was excellent in its own accord. It’s not as calorie dense with noodles as American pho places or aromatic and botanical dense as pho in Vietnam but it stands on its own because the cuts of meats are top notch. It was filet mignon cuts with a rich soup. The bun thit was the same, rich marinaded and fresh cuts of pork served. The dessert selection is a great fusion of viet and French... View all feedback.
What Simone Boulanger doesn't like about Le Palanquin:
Mediocre food. Average service. Way over priced. A rip off! Thumbs down. It’s 2018 and there are so many Vietnamese restaurants that I’m not sure why this place would charge so much for 1/4 of the portion of a regular plate. It’s not fine dining. The restaurant is super small and claustrophobic. Definitively not recommended. View all feedback.
I'd heard about this intimate little Viet restaurant from long-time out if Paris fans. Tried to get in over Tet weekend, but was politely told I was 3 months late...Very glad I tried again last night. Despite being Monday, the place was packed when we left, with visibly happy regulars. Without asking the lovely owner improvised a special birthday treat for my 13 year old grandson Baptiste. She was relayed by the boss, who was as witty as she was charming. Oh, and the food was absolutely delicious and copious.
