Our concierge recommended this restaurant and we're so glad we chose it. We ordered off the a la carte menu as there were several items that particularly interested us. The mousse of Jerusalem artichokes was a stunning and tasty entree, and the steamed sea bass...was clean, light, and beautifully presented. My husband had the lobster bolongnaise, which was so good that he finished it before I could have a bite. As ot... View all feedback.
An excellent restaurant near Palais de Congres. Ambience is perfect, small enough to be intimate, yet the service was excellent and easily accomodated our party of 6. The owner Mark Singer is also the chef and his wife the maitre d'. If you...are an American, you will enjoy speaking with Mark, otherwise his French is easily native. Many choices of prix fixe and a'la carte, not to mention wonderfully different and palate pleasing desserts. Highly recommend.
We visited paris in mai with another couple that celebrated their 50th anniversary. we asked concierge in the hotel for a good recommendation as this was a special occasion. they have recommended le dodin. brand singer has not disappointed! we had a wonderful meal. from appetizer to dessert! and he made a suggestion for wine....it was incredible! he visited our table several times to make sure that we were satisfied and made us feel as if he really appreciated our being! we all agreed that we would recommend a visit to le dodin. and if we're ever back in paris, we won't hesitate to feed here again. many thanks, brand and its very sweet woman, dominique, for an absolutely wonderful experience!
My man and my children treated me on our pariser trip to this restaurant, based on the good reviews of tripadvisor. When we first came there, we were the only table that made me worry. within 20', there was another. party of 4. then there was one table on top. there were only 3 tables all night in a restaurant that could host 10 tables. the food was in order, not great (red snapper was blande, bark was salty and fudge was hard and dry), but the service was terrible, especially on a day I try to celebrate my birthday. the chef came out to take the order we thought was nice, but the waitress (his wife) took off from us 5 sharing 4 dishes. in the night, she did not respond to our diverse requirements for utensils and water. she never gave us eye contact, even though we tried to smile. we asked them to make us a picture twice, and she reacted that she was too busy. when she cleaned the brothcrumbs from the table, she made a face. While I understand she was busy, I felt she didn't treat us very nicely. we thank her man for giving me a candle on my little BD cake, but the service is so bad that we just wanted to get out. when we left, she even told my husband not to smile at me. we paid $200 euro and I was very disappointed about eating and the service. there are so many great places in paris, you do not need the standard food and service here.
A night at the back on Valentine's Day. a special menu developed for this occasion. perfect from beginning to end, with a surprise in the middle of the meal. Everything is perfect. a xecellent address on bets, for a reasonable take.
My husband and my children offered me this restaurant for my birthday on our trip to Paris based on the good reviews of tripadvisor. When we arrived there, we were the only table that a little worried. in the 20', there was another group of 4. Then there was another table upstairs. So there were only 3 tables all night in a restaurant that could accommodate 10 tables. The food was correct, not great (the van was fade, the beef was salted and the fudge was hard and dry), but the service was horrible, especially one day I try to celebrate my birthday. The chief went out to take the order, which seemed nice to us, but the waitress (his wife) opposed that we were going to 4 flats. During the night, she did not respond to our multiple requests for utensils and water. She never looked at us in the eyes even if we tried to smile at her. We asked her to take a photo for us twice and she said she was too busy. When she cleaned the bread crumbs on the table, she made the grimace. Even if I understand that she was busy, I felt she wasn't treating us very nicely. We thanked her husband for giving me a candle on my bd cake, but the service was so bad that we just wanted to get out of there. She even told my husband "no smile on my part." we paid 200 euros and I was very disappointed by food and service. There are so many good places to betting, you don't need the food and service of lower quality here.
