We had booked so on arriving we were met by the performers who welcomed us and asked us about Ireland. Very good customer service. The atmosphere is cosmopolitan with about half of the guests being French and the rest from different parts of the world. OK The food is slow, the food is just OK. A French Pizza restaurant??? What ViktorvdW doesn't like about Green Cafe:
Went yesterday evening around 19H with the kids 4 and 6 to have pizza. The guy opening the resto started off great, entertaining the kids however forgot the parents and to take orders. Eventually we got serves a white wine with flies ! in it and a Peroni turned out to be a can of 1664 beer... new crew stepped in and saved the night a bit by promptly serving pizzas that tasted pretty ok indeed. Still all this is irrelevant as a night of Chanson French music in an intimate typically French atmosphere is in itself special. We each received the words for the songs in print so we could join in. I'd throughly recommend this for a great night of entertainment.
Visited today lunchtime with the better half. She had a calzone pizza for main and a bruschetta-type dish for starter, whilst I had a chorizo pasta and chocolate fondant for dessert. Both of our meal combos were priced on the menu at 15 Euro, but I am unsure if they were added to the bill as such. I must say, however, that the standard of the food was very good indeed; it was very fresh and with well sourced ingredients. Portion size excellent and there's a great French flair to the place. Service a little slow in coming back to the table, plus the language barrier caused them to (eventually) bring me more butter when I had requested a small plate for the bread that they left on the table. This resulted in me cutting my finger as I had to hold the bread to cut it, but sure it's all part and parcel of things! We are staying in the locality for another week, so there's a strong possibility that we might return to this little gem of a place as the food is truly très bien...!
We stayed around the corner and nipped in for lunch. The decor is nothing special but the food was flavoursome. I chose a four cheese wood fired oven pizza and was not disappointed. The set menu starts at 15e for starter/main/dessert.
Italian restaurant with a French flair. They have lots of assets: very kind personnel, great dishes, proposed red wine was wonderful, excellent deserts, very good music, atmosphere, ... And all this at economic prices. We would definitely come back here!
Imbu de sa personne snob hauteain liar un contempt of the client (I would like to make the many notes in his restaurant for 4 years) at the beginning was a very good restaurant but when this phenomenon came to the commands service of an unimaginable slower man chats with his friends and does not care about the customer pizzas certainly delicious but infamous accompaniment oil dishes like lasagnes which were of quality from pure industry. I'll never put my foot back in this place held by this ants! He excels on the fake token side!
