So you are gonna show up, and it's a little run down, a bit old. They will only have one waitress, serving everyone, chatting it up with each table. You will see the menu and it will look pretty simple. Takes a while to get your order. Your expectations will be low. YOU WOULD BE WRONG. Food is great! And reasonably priced! Unlike if you stay near Ruby's inn or Escalante. The waitress is polite, has great advice, and... View all feedback.
Friday night and only a waitress had come to work. The place was full, but waitress was friendly, fast and super efficient. I love a whole town diver and this one hasn't disappointed. Salad bar was fresh and delicious, the decor was simple but fun. I always have to order chicken fried steak on a local diner and that was as good as anyone I've ever eaten and as big as my face. Too big to finished and the potatoes were genuine with a delicious, slightly spicy white engraving.
To clarify, Flying M Restaurant is no longer. It is Desert Grill (they are one and the same) the waitress confirmed that Flying M was bought about 2 years ago. The waitress was friendly and efficient. The food was good. Great place to stop for a fast dune in experience, especially when the test of the city was closed for the weekend.
One of the only restaurants in low season. Huge portions, quick service, good food. Will be back.
She stayed here after having spent the day of hiking around Zion NP, it was worth the ride. I got the Flying M Club Sandwich, very filling, dipped it in Ranch and again all the calories I had lost earlier a day. Then we really have things with bread pudding a la fashion. The males and the staff had fun talking and listening to their stories was a great way to finish our trip to South Utah.
Not many choices in town. This place seemed to be more popular. Glad we stopped by. Biscuits and Gravy are huge and worth every penny. Next time I want to try this ridiculously large cinnamon bun!
