It was a wonderful experience to discover locally sourced vegetables on this island. The restaurant also has a related farm where they grow their own food and sell unique products. We enjoyed a delicious meal on the balcony overlooking the stunning sea. This review was last updated on August 12, 2021.
I absolutely loved the hip location of this café. As a vegan, I had no trouble finding delicious options at the Buzz Café. They offer tasty food with unique flower ingredients. It was such a great dining experience that I would definitely come back for another visit.
The restaurant is located on a bee farm and all the dishes had a smoky aroma. They forgot to include the vegetarian cheese in my dish twice.
Food was decent if a bit overpriced, but so is the rest of Alona beach. Mention the word vegetarian and they will go out of their way to tout their food as organic and gluten-free etc etc. Atmosphere was completely ruined by a cat meowing in distress from the back of the restaurant towards the kitchen. This started halfway through our meal and continued for the rest of our time there. I got up to ask the staff what was going on and whether we could help this cat at all. They could not have cared less and sort of laughed it off without bothering to check what was up. Very dodgy. We left wondering whether they were killing cats in the kitchen. There are other places in Bohol that you 'll find vegetarian food. Give this place a skip.
Buzz Cafe does have quite a few menu options that can be vegan, I truly enjoyed my fruit and nut salad (sans cheese and subbed dressing without honey). When I inquired about caribou and coconut milk icecream they told me all ice cream was made with the water buffalo's milk in combination with coconut milk. There IS another Buzz cafe about 1/10 mile away on the main street, with just ice cream and they confirmed their's was 100% coconut milk based. It was amazing!
Nestled on a picturesque island, this café offers a delightful culinary journey with a strong focus on locally sourced ingredients. With an attached farm providing fresh produce, diners can enjoy meals on a scenic balcony overlooking the sea. While the café caters primarily to omnivores, creative vegan options are available, leading to some unique dishes that incorporate edible flowers. The lively atmosphere and friendly staff enhance the experience, making it a favorite among both vegetarians and meat lovers. Guests rave about the quality of food and complementary items, along with an enticing selection of homemade ice cream. A must-visit!.

It was a pleasant surprise to discover some fresh, locally grown produce on this island. The restaurant also has a farm where they source their food (although they use bees, which is unfortunate) and sell a variety of unique products. We enjoyed a satisfactory meal on the balcony overlooking the stunning sea views.
I absolutely adored the trendy location of this café. Being vegan, I had no trouble finding something delicious to eat at Buzz Café. The meal with edible flowers was fantastic and made for a unique experience. I will definitely be returning for another visit.
The restaurant has a partnership with a bee farm, giving all the dishes a smoky flavor. Unfortunately, they forgot to include vegan cheese on my plate twice.
I don't know why this restaurant is listed here? It's from a bio-BEE farm, almost everything has honey. I came in and asked about the vegan options and the waitress informed me that nothing is except the ice cream. I managed to 'veganize' an option that is quite delicious (high quality organic food), but organize a 99.99% meat and fish restaurant on happy cow while there are several other options..

It is difficult to choose among the numerous restaurants that line Alona Beach, every night of the day's tomb. Among our favorites, Café Jasz offers good quality cuisine, a pleasant atmosphere, and relatively efficient service (not always perfect, however). Our favorite dish has been the grilled chicken, delicious, juicy, and tender. Portions are large but prices are a bit on the higher side. Quality comes at a cost, but we were impressed! Delicious desserts as well (big enough to share!)
