Don Blas - Panama

Don Blas has lost it‘s flavour. The worst Arroz con Pollo I have ever eaten. It used to be authentic with some of the best food you could get. Now they lack of taste and their prices went up twice as much. Didn’t upgrade but downgraded instead. Was my place to go, now I‘ll never come again!

Food good and service good. Place needs cleaning and updating. Watched 2 roaches racing across the wooden rail beside our table. Wonder what kitchen is like

Great food, deserts were soso. Cute small setting. On both occasions we went there they tried to seat us even without reservations. They were also helpful with friends that came over after we were seated. i give this place a 5 star compaied to other places we have been to between last night and today

Good food. Bad service. Never got the hot sauce I requested, and after the waitress finally looked in my direction and I asked for the bill, she had to again be reminded of that when she came in to my table. Then instead of a bill, she gave me the cost orally. Sounded a bit high, but I didn't argue at all. She gave me someone else's receipt and the change for my bill, but I did not realize because she mixed US change with Panamanian. I went inside and she showed me that (technically the value added up between the 2 currencies. I still left a very decent tip (close to 18% . It was not that busy, but she just kind of seemed not into work that day. Food was very good though. I guess kiss the cook and take it to go (and ask for your own receipt .

Food was okay, nothing special. I had pork chops, pan fried, with the ubiquitous french fries, and a decent tomato laden salad. Seems expensive for that, but Panama is. Table near me had pastas. The Italian food looked pretty good. If I went back, that's what I would order.
