We are always appreciative of our experience at Sundance with fantastic prime rib, excellent service and a great ambiance -rich in sports memorabilia. The mud pie is also outstanding and now it is served with a delightful graham cracker crust....a wonderful place to celebrate special occasions. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Sundance The Steakhouse:
We were a Party of Nine and the steaks were over cooked and my husbands prime roast was way over cooked. Don't know if they have a new cook but for 75.00 per steak they need to get their act together. Not happy View all feedback.
Sundance is by far the best steak, prime rib and fish restaurant in the Bay Area. Service is exemplary as is the food and ambience. It is a little noisey as there are often large business groups in attendance. However, everything else is so wonderful that the noise is definitely tolerable and as I go there very often it is also only sporadic.
Our waiter, Jeff, was magnificent. He knew all about food, allergies, and steered an anxious guest to the perfect dinner menu. He was very patient with another one of our guests who was rather demanding, and I would go to Sundance again just to have such a good waiter. But I've been there many times before. I love this restaurant. All the staff is excellent.
I'm never disappointed with my meal there whether seafood or steaks. They have a good consistency and we had the best waiter ever. He had us laughing and never forgetting to refill drinks and to continuously keep us posted on our food , I think his name was Caz. Great dinner overall.
Sundance is by far the BEST steakhouse in Palo Alto. Don't bother to go anywhere else in my opinion. Great food, great wait staff (although the bus boys are a little quick to clear your empty plates if you are like me and dipping up the juice with a piece of their fine sourdough bread). The bar tender on duty made me the perfect Cosmopolitan! Truly, I wanted another but did not dare! The glass of red wine with the filet mignon was just so top notched! We shared a wedge salad which is a good thing to do as it is super rich. All in all another fine dining experience in a local restaurant that is consistently wonderful. Everything is fun and light and the food is so good and so good for you. I could rave on and on.
Our go-to for celebratory dinners! The steaks, prime rib seafood were done to perfection. The drinks generous and tasty. The service friendly and professional. Even though the dining room may be full, it's a quiet buzz that you can still have conversations over. The only suggestion I would have would be to update the sides. Steamed broccoli carrots, while tasty, are not the most imaginative. However, their mashed potatoes and calamari could be the best I've ever had. Scrumptious!
