The Butte Burger Place - Palmer

Located off the usual path, this hidden gem may be small and lacking in amenities, but it serves up some of the best burgers in Alaska. I'm grateful for the delicious food!

I ordered the 5-star burger, which was already large and messy, but adding guacamole made it even harder to eat. However, it was absolutely delicious! The onion rings were crispy, but the portion was small (though it comes with the burger at no extra cost, so I completely understand).

We stopped by this restaurant on a whim after getting a recommendation from our hotel manager while visiting Palmer in late August 2022. We were impressed by the excellent burgers and quick service. The hospitality was top-notch and the owners were very friendly. The owner is confident that their Famed Freedom Burger is even more filling than the 72-ounce steak at The Big Texan in Amarillo, as no one has been able to finish it yet. Perhaps the Travel Channel or Food Channel could find some eager diners to take on the challenge!
