Ambiance service were excellent. The lamb dish pasta with pulled pork were excellent. The salmon, unfortunately, was quite dry lacked flavor. Overall, the prices per dish were inflated. The specialty cocktails were interesting but incredibly overpriced $24 $25 each. Wine was more reasonable but still pricey. There is a good children's menu. What User doesn't like about Peaks:
The view is spectacular and the service was wonderful. However, the food was over priced and underwhelming. I had the ribeye. It was cooked right, but it was a very thin cut, and not very seasoned. Even with the truffle butter, it was rather bland, then greasy. My husband enjoyed the wild mushroom ravioli. My friend had the spinach salad with salmon. It was A LOT of spinach, and not much else. Dinner with a view was quite a treat. Our waitress was amazing. She was sweet, on point, funny, and patient. It took us forever decide what we wanted I had one of the best dirty martinis I've ever had. Wedge salad was solid, amazing blue cheese dressing. Spinach artichoke dip was good, not great. We had the filet, the curry, and the ravioli. All were surprisingly good. To end we had the crème brulé....perfection. It was pricey but worth it. Huge portions, we came home with 2 boxes.
What a neat restaurant! The trip up on the tram was breathtaking, and the wonderful thing about this restaurant is that there isn't a bad table in the house. Every table has a view! We had wonderful service and great lunch sandwiches.
The service and setting was great. The food was NOT good! My salmon was fair at best. My rice tasted cold and old, as if it had been sitting out a full day. My GF's 14oz Prime Rib was 90% uneditable fat and the steak that could be eaten was tough and tasteless. We were given a discount on the steak but it should have been removed from the check. GF complained of stomach issues after eating the steak. Place a damper on the whole event. The other two in our party complained about the taste of the food as less than impressive for the price. Superb ambience. Our server was helpful recommending certain dishes. They removed away as soon as empty (2 of our 5 person party don't like that). I didn't feel rushed because they let us stay for as long as we wanted... we stayed at least another 30-40 minutes after finishing our food. The black bean burger was a little dry, but it had all the right condiments and very satisfying. My friends liked their dishes too, including the salmon cooked exactly as she wanted it.
