Wonderful food, that yes, a little pricey, was flavorful, fresh, and filling! Prepared by hand, while you wait. The ingredients were the freshest I've had at a café. Good strong coffee too. My daughter had one of their frozen fizz's. There was easily $8 of fresh fruit in it! And the flavor again, was fresh and naturally sweet, a really sublime experience. View all feedback.
What Olivia the c doesn't like about Coquelicot Gallery And Cafe:
Limited seats to small couches and chairs. It is mainly a boutique store and reserved seats if you want a table. Food and drinks are very pricey. I ordered an iced matcha for $8 but it had no flavor and it was very water down. They have plenty of parking and the ladies at the desk are friendly. View all feedback.
It's beautiful art (more than coffee shop) and coffee. Good options for drink and eat. Jewelry, design, paint, everything of art. It is amazing the store.
One of a kind place to shop and dine in Palatine. They have tons of cool jewelries and artsy stuffs. I'm very picky when it comes to coffee, teas, and drink. I have had so many experiences with cafes offering too sweet and watered down drinks. Coquelicot makes them just right. Not too sweet yet the flavor is very strong. I love all their cold drinks at the moment. The meals they offer are healthy and delicious at the same time. they are not shy about using lots of herbs, nuts, protein of the dish. The owners are super friendly and very welcoming. Wish I could live next to here so I can come here everyday!
An absolute hidden gem! I met a friend here for lunch and was so impressed! The food was delicious, and everything was incredibly fresh. The two women who own Coquelicot made everything to order, which was such a pleasant surprise, and they were both so lovely and kind to us. While I was waiting on my friend to arrive, I had a chance to look around at all of the wonderful art and jewelry as well. They have some truly beautiful and unique pieces, and one of the women told me that they also host jewelry-making events, which sounds like a lot of fun for a girl’s night. I even found a pair of earrings for my sister’s birthday that I think she’s going to love. I really can’t wait to go back – this is going to be my new cozy lunch spot for sure!
I have been to manyy cafes, since exploring cafes is my hobby. This was by far the most disappointing experience I’ve had. Their hot chocolate was way too sweet and watery. They do not have any lattes or specialty coffees. Only black/drip coffee and one cafe au lait. The place itself is very dark and not cozy. It is also very dirty and has tons of dust settled on the sofas. My skin started to get rashes as soon as I sat down. The drink(hot cocoa) I got was subpar, so I asked for a refund from the lady and they refunded it. But, as soon as they refunded the drink, the two ladies in front almost kicked me out of their facility and said “this is a business and you are no longer our customer so we want you to leave! You cannot stay here” I was charging up my phone since my phone was dying and I was waiting on my Uber to arrive and I told them to give me 5 minutes to leave but they rudely rushed me out and said since I’m not their customer anymore I am not allowed to plug in my charger or even stay there. Very rude and disappointing visit! I hope no one goes through this terrible experience!!
It is a lovely cafe with very unique art and jewelry. I had the cafe au lait, which is a French version of a latte, but better.
