Savini Tartufi - PALAIA

Andrea our amazing guide led us on a truffle hunt in the forest with Giotto the wonder dog and it was fabulous!!! Then after an hour+ in the forest we headed back and enjoyed a cooking class making incredible dishes using truffles! The amount of knowledge about truffles, the fun being outside “hunting “with Andrea and Giotto, the amazing cooking class which included a bottle of wine, sparkling (or still) water from everything from appetizers to primi and secondi courses ending with dessert and coffee were just mind blowing!!! I highly recommend this for everyone!!! So good!

We booked this directly with Luca at Savini and went for the Truffle hunt and cookery class We have done this before elsewhere i Tuscany so knew what we were in for, but this day with Savini was the best. Luca and the dogs were such fun and really well hosted we were in no rush so had time to talk about the environment which we were in. The truffle we found went in the bag to be taken to the fantastic cook Roberta to show us how to use the fantastic produce. We had a great time making pasta and cooking it, Roberta was a star. Highly recommend the whole experience.

A 5-star experience. Luca is a fun, passionate, communicative guide who went above and beyond to include everyone in our group with the dogs and hunting traditions. After we found black truffles, learned in-depth info, and indulged in multiple truffle specialities a gourmet meal I’ll never forget), no one wanted to leave. We have a greater appreciation for these unique mushrooms thanks to Savini Tartufi and Luca. Can’t wait to return for white truffle hunting season!

Our group had one our most fun days at our truffle hunting at Savini Tartufi. A light rain did not stop our guide Luca and the truffle smelling skills of Giotto. After watching Giotto find and dig for our truffles, we headed back for our cooking lesson in the kitchen. We made our own pasta and used our truffles in the recipe. Their chef proceeded to create an amazing lunch for us, incorporating truffles into 4 courses. I highly recommend this very fun and delicious experience.

Luca, padrone di casa appassionato e competente, ti accompagna per tutta la durata dell’esperienza.Si inizia con un’introduzione teorica sul tartufo e sulla storica azienda Savini.Si prosegue con la ricerca di tartufi nel bosco, con il fido lagotto Giotto. Esperienza molto divertente e interessante.Si chiude con un pranzo da portate, tutte con il tartufo come protagonista. Molto gustoso, con tartufo in abbondanza.Assolutamente da consigliare, ci torneremo.
