arrives in the rain, only the covered terrace offered 4 places. but very soon the very nice young waiter offered us to go back warm for lunch. lunch of a hell of a pork rib grilled on wood fire. Think, more or less 400g per person! We never had such a good one! all of us were happy and could not take anything else. Let's add a very nice chef, in a very nice setting! A real decouvert View all feedback.
What Bernadette Fernandes doesn't like about Le Balthazar:
we expected a lot of this promise of good regional products cooked with wood fire, maybe too much. We loved: the raw material, especially meat parts. good product, good cooking, good seasoning - the smile and the kindness of the guests we have less loved: the promiscuity between the tables- the prices of the desserts - the accompaniment of the meats: the addition of the salad and a few slices of tomatoes, without sea... For this family dinner with children, we found a friendly welcome, a manifest will to make this moment enjoyable. the map was well adapted, the well-designed child menu. The dishes of regional quality products, organic in part, were very well cooked, tasty. Finally, we enjoyed the deserts of ice with raw milk.A great time spent in a warm atmosphere, we highly recommend this establishment.
A very intimate and beautiful restaurant offering a truly french experience.
Reservation required because few tables, very good products, very good advice especially for wine choice, fast and very welcoming service to remember.
The menu is a bit limited but the whole point of this establishment is to offer basic food but with excellent quality ingredients. Most dishes come with baked potatoes. but not any old potato. Oh no, these are the best local potatoes you can find, and they are cooked to perfection in the hearth in front of your eyes. I chose Breton sausage and it was delicious. Lettuce and tomatoes were again the absolute best local produce. No comparison to the stuff you get in the supermarket.Prices were very reasonable for a teeming tourist destination, and the personnel were very friendly. On busy nights you'll have to turn up before 7:30pm or otherwise make a reservation.
