Contribute FeedbackThe Fishwife, once a shining star in the culinary scene, has recently drawn mixed reactions from diners. While some patrons still commend its fresh seafood and friendly service, others express disappointment over cold, bland dishes and unclean facilities. Signature items like clam chowder and Chicken Piccata have failed to meet expectations, with many describing a decline in flavor and presentation. Despite its charming appeal and dedicated staff, the restaurant struggles to maintain consistent quality. As feedback continues to roll in, it remains unclear whether The Fishwife can reclaim its former glory or will drift further from diners' favor.
The Fishwife used to be a premier restaurant. The last two Door Dash orders from here have been subpar. Tonight I ordered Chicken Piccata and clam chowder . The chicken dish arrived cold, lacked in flavor and the chicken was cold and dry. The clam chowder was HORRIBLE, as well. Not only was it cold but, the clams were tough and it was bland in flavor. I remember when their chowder was one of the best on the Monterey Peninsula. I will not need a strike three. This will be the last time I order from The Fishwife!
The salads and garlic bread were okay. I remembered I put utensils needed. But they did not provide any. They put my order in a paper bag and tonight rain is pouring. Well, not a pleasant experience.
I had the Alfredo Combo. It was wonderful, and met my expectations. I visit this restaurant every time I am in the area. It never disappoints.
Shrimp veneto and lobster ravioli were great! Not crowded on a Monday, but busy enough to make fun. The sun had just set and the sky was beautiful. Service was good. Molten lava cake with raspberries was really delicious. We used to be here years ago and so glad to find out it's still great!
The food was delicious and exactly what we wanted. We ordered the Tilapia court (which I free it was called mazaclan), children pasta (many food), and another dish that had octopus, mussels, ectopus. We ordered an appetizer of coconut yarns. You accept reservations, but we just went in.
