What User doesn't like about The Waverley East:
It was a Thursday night with friends. The place wasn't super busy but there seemed to only be one waitress serving tables and tending bar. Consequently, it was a bit of a wait between giving our orders and the food arriving (40ish minutes). Luckily, the food was well presented, hot and tasty. Overall, a good food experience and the place wasn't noisy, so conversation was easy. View all feedback.

The waitress was friendly, all orders served correctly and separate bills accommodated. We will return.
This was the second time I've visited Waverly East, and again it was noisy with loud music. We went on a Saturday night during the hockey play-offs so that contributed to the noise level. Food again was so-so. There isn't a lot to choose from on the menu, especially if you are a "meat and potatoes" person. I ordered the beet salad for starters and it was very good; there was a nice dressing on the greens and a nice amount of sliced beets with pecans, raisins and goat cheese. It was a meal in itself. For my main meal I ordered fettuccine with shrimp; paid $6 for the shrimp and they only gave 3, which was a bit chintzy. The fettuccine had a lot of filler in it - baby tomatoes, broccoli bits and kale - weird. Soup of the day was mushroom soup and it passed the taste test. Hubby had trout and found it unremarkable.
The food & drinks were excellent. We had the Brie board, burgers, and the meat board and everything was excellent. The service was great. We sat at the bar since there was a long wait for a table for 6 of us and the bartender kept us laughing while making sure we were well taken care of. Definitely glad it's come to Orleans!
We met my sister-in-law and husband for a weekday lunch.New menus - hard to fold. Adequate selection. We started with a seafood soup, large enough to share with my wife. Very tasty.I ordered the 1 pound hot wings. I was expecting a buffalo style but instead it tasted like spicy spaghetti sauce. My wife enjoyed her beet salad with grilled chicken breast.Service was excellent. My sister-in-law chose the place because it wasn't too busy and noisy, so we could have nice visit. We wound up spending 4 hours there. They didn't push us out.
Casual place, simple menu, not loud, Service was very good and not rushed. Calamari & oysters to start with..Excellent.! Calamari was not overlooked or rubbery, served with a nice dill cream sauce. Main course Trout done to perfection, my husband ordered the burger with blue cheese and he thoroughly enjoyed. Very juicy.
