We ate breakfast here during our stay in Ottowa. I had French toast and DH and DD had the King Eddy breakfast with eggs sunny side up. All very tasty and well cooked. I asked for 2 French toast instead of three as I cannot finish three. The waitress said "Saves waste, right?" and was very friendly and obliging. She brought extra milk for the coffee. Some places you get free refills but not here. Anyhow the whole thin... View all feedback.

Went for lunch with work colleague. Ordered the King Eddy Burger and a coffee. First requested mayo and mustard on the burger than in the same sentence changed my mind and asked to NOT put the mayo and mustard but rather the King Eddy Sauce.. Waitress said yes. OK.Got the burger with mayo only and served on a small bread plate. I did not order a side so I get the skimpy plate. Had to request a coffee top up. I really... View all feedback.
A new Ottawa restaurant fave! So hard to decide what to get from the menu! Every item read so deliciously! Ended up getting some milkshake and float, Grilled Cheese with Jalapeño and Tomato Soup, Quebec Poutine and Mac and Cheese. The milkshakes were an okay size. We finished them way before we got our food. Given, they were so good! The portions are massive! There was no need for me to add the tomato soup to my grilled cheese. The Mac and Cheese was simply delectable! I would order for myself next time! And the poutine I could dangerously have everyday!Staff were patient and friendly and very helpful with recommendations. Will certainly be back for more!
This place was super busy on a Saturday morning. Took about 15-20 minutes to get seated at the bar. Our waiter was the bartender so he was very busy but was attentive to us. The food was very good and worth the wait. The poutine was salty and had a good amount of cheese. The breakfast plate was pretty standard and average. The yogurt granola plate was very good and healthy. It was all decently priced. I would return to The King Eddy but maybe to try the lunch menu.
Great location and atmosphere. Lovely staff and really great breakfast. I had the Queen Benny and everything was just perfect. Didn’t need lunch that day. Will definitely be back when I’m in Ottawa next.
Had the Strippers and Fries for dinner absolutely stellar, definitely try the hot honey for dipping. Service was great so we dropped by for breakfast the next morning. King Eddy breakfast was tasty, with a generous portion of potatoes, eggs cooked perfectly to order. Star of the breakfast was a side pancake, which is a must to round out the meal. Our favorite spot in Byward.
We came here for brunch. I called ahead since we had some luggage with us and they sat us immediately at the bar and put our stuff against a wall. This is on a Sunday morning for brunch at about 11 am or so with a line of about 5 parties ahead of usThe wait staff is fun and personable. They are helpful making recommendations and always got us what we needed as we went thru the meal. I tried the eddy breakfast and my mom got the omlette. All really well prepared and very delicious. We did find the potatoes a little dry but no biggie. They have a large number of tables both outside and in so they do take a good number of walk Ins. It reminded me a little of a 70s malt milkshake space : I loved the mint chairs and pink accents.
