If they have ginger juice (made by Ramones mother) go for it, it's the perfect companion to the spicy chicken. As the title states it all about the grill here, plantains are iffy, sometimes cooked well other times mushy, salad nothing special. Meats always "done right" on the wood fired grill.Recommended as a good value lunch spot.
We love BBQ chicken on charcoal and thus it was an easy decision to stop by. Usually BBQ chicken is small so it cooks through, so for the 2 of us we ordered a whole chicken dinner which came with family sides of rice, salad and plantains. Indeed the chicken is a bit small as we expected but it was so tasty. We ate the whole thing except for the 2 thighs. The rice was nice and generous and the salad was just enough for two people. Now, I never tried plantains before and I certainly would not try them again.. this side was more than generous, but it was blade and fried. I wish I had asked them for more salad instead. Maybe if they had some spice, it would have been better, I don't know. I would certainly recommend, but either skip the plantains (if you have not tried before) or get the chicken and buy sides at any other supermarket bar.
The tittle says it all...best wood charcoal chicken in town. Employees are very nice too. I will go back for sure.
This spot was recommended to us by a local and it didn't disappoint. The chicken was excellent as was the rice but the best thing was the grilled plantains. Be sure to get an order on the side.
