We have always loved the food from Mia's. It was a lucky find when we were in the neighbourhood coming back from a friend's place. The food is flavourful, portion sizes are a good size, and when we have gone to the restaurant (pre-pandemic) it's been clean and family comfortable. The past few years we mainly order take-out and packaging and portions are still great. View all feedback.
What Cee M doesn't like about Mia's Indian Cuisine:
Even with an Amazon Prime discount of 40% I still paid $38 for a Chicken Biryani, some overcooked and dry appetizers and some garlic naan. Make it make sense! Possibly the worst Indian food ever. View all feedback.
Good quality food. Always fresh and delicious! It was several times. Definitely recommend.
This is one of the best Indian restaurants in Ottawa. The menu has 5 levels of spiciness for most / all dishes. I like things spicy so my Gf and I had lamb vindaloo, a chicken dish and a shrimp dish. It's just excellent. Very warm and fluffy naan. And even the rice, as it should be, was not glued together with the individual rice bits. Service excellent.
I read some of the reviews I am surprised. I had ordered awhile and decided to go back and it was delicious. It is definitely different flavors than more traditional Indian food restaurants. The butter chicken is a less sharp and more sweet /buttery taste, which is something I enjoy. Regarding the value for price comments, this is a family business. Not a fire and rotary operation. Compared to other family-run Indian restaurants, pricing is very comparable. The whole family works in the restaurant and they are proud of their work. On the restaurant empty, the dining room was almost empty when I left. But there's always a lot of exit from the door. Overall, the food I ordered here is always delicious. There can sometimes be delays, but there's family business, not your local fast restaurant.
This place is heaven. The food is always fresh and delicious. You would miss if you didn't have this taste experience. You are by far one of the best restaurants in Ottawa. The staff is Curtius and attentive.
A family run business that not only offers kind and friendly service but delicious food. We had the butter chicken, the palok panner(SO good), the vegetable korma (YUM) some Naan and rice. The flavours are perfect and the portions are generous. Thank you for a wonderful meal, we will be back.
