On our way home from camping, we were thrilled to discover that the vegan options at this family-owned restaurant have greatly increased. There were 5-6 delicious choices to choose from. The safety precautions were excellent, with plenty of parking and an outdoor eating area at the back. We will definitely be returning! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about La Cigale:
The vegan ice cream and baked goods were on the menu. I decided to order an apple fritter and was assured that it would be made fresh upon ordering. However, after waiting for half an hour at our table, we realized that our order had been forgotten. When I went to pay at the counter, I was still hungry and had to leave without my food. It is worth noting that there were only a few other customers in the restaurant. View all feedback.
Really nice ice cream and they have gluten free cone as well as for 1.25 CAD extra. I would say the portion is on the bigger side.

Delicious ice cream and lots of dairy free flavours! They even have gluten free cones and they take good care to avoid contamination when possible. The person serving me was knowledgable about allergens and their practices. I felt safe and I have never had a reaction! I highly recommend to anyone going to the Gatineau park!
The gelatos are delicious! They offer GF cones and when you tell them you’re celiac they double check to see if the flavours you chose contains gluten and they open a new container of gelato and used a clean spoon to serve you to make sure there’s little to none cross contamination. There is no gluten in their gelato machine because they add the ingredients with the gluten after they’ve been through the machines. They also offert dairy free options
One of our summer traditions is to visit this restaurant and try out the various flavors. I usually opt for the strawberry and sour cream, but today we tried the lemon cheesecake. It had a tart flavor reminiscent of a sour yellow lollipop. The milkshakes here are also delicious, but I never want to share mine.
