This restaurant is located just outside the gate to Chinatown does nog look that impressive from the outside. Don't let that fool you. Wonderful variety of excellent fare from the wonton soup to the shrimp and snow peas and Beef noodle options. Service is fast and efficient. Great discovery View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Jadeland:
Jadeland is small and modest, but its food is delicious and authentic. We had its pan-fried dumplings, which were quite good. Not so impressed with the steamed dumplings in peanut sauce, which tasted a little artificial. The half duck was good, but I didn't expect it to be deep-fried, as it was not what was indicated on the menu. The special was water spinach, and we were a little disappointed by how bland it was. I finally visited this restaurant for the first time based on a recommendation from my colleague. My first impression was a bit skeptical because the building looked quite old. However, once seated, I immediately felt a sense of authenticity and a cozy atmosphere. The service was excellent, and the staff were very friendly. I really enjoyed all the dishes we ordered tonight, the portions were generous and everything was cooked authentically well. Being from Toronto, I am picky when it comes to Chinese food, but I was impressed with this place! I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic Chinese food spot.
I recently discovered Jadeland and was pleasantly surprised by how good it was. The service was excellent and the staff were very polite. They offer a great selection of dishes that are all delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in Ottawa or planning to visit. Don't let the exterior of the building deceive you; the interior is actually quite nice. Although the outside could use some attention, it did not affect my decision to dine there.
Great food, friendly staff, what a delight. Been trying to find a good Chinese food place for a bit and finally found one that hit the spot. Ordered black pepper beef, Kung Po chicken, and Yangzhou fried rice. I was reading comments about how the fried rice was not flavorful and dry but I believe it was great. The food was salted and spiced well. Good flavors and large portions between all the dishes. Will definitely come back again when I get my Chinese food craving.
Even though I couldn't celebrate Lunar New Year with friends this year, I still wanted to reminisce on past festivities. I pre-ordered some of my favorite dishes and picked them up later that day without any problems. Despite the current difficulties, the service was welcoming and the delicious food reminded me of good times in the past. It left me feeling optimistic and looking forward to the future.
I highly recommend this restaurant not because of its quality and delicious food but also because of the service here! The food was unbelievably delicious, if you love dimsum, don’t forget to ask for a dimsum menu (if you come in dinner time). This restaurant so far is my favourite Chinese restaurant in Ottawa whenever I have craving for Chinese food for even just simply shrimp har gow, this place is always the first one come in my mind
