Amazing fried chicken think Popeye's but fresher. Try also the spicy BBQ chicken with cheese yes it sounds a little strange to mix spice with cheese, but it's honestly amazing (tender chicken cuts in Korean hot sauce with a thick cheese smothered over top, served in a hot skillet with peppers and onions). Been meaning to check out The Fry for a while now and I really enjoyed it. The portions and pieces of chicken are huge! I had the special half and half which is supposedly 2 half chickens, but when it arrived it definitely felt like 1.5 to 2 chickens! Lots of deliciously crispy, saucy chicken! I would recommend the boneless chicken (spicy) as it’s nice big chunks of dark meat and you don’t have to deal with the bones. Check them out!
The food was good the wings are nice and crunchy the squid was fantastic loved the radish and coleslaw more would be better and eliminate the pasta salad corn is ok soup was mediocre broth lacked flavor and the squid like rubber shrucken shrimp they should add seafood seperatly at the end before serving would go back again for chicken wings and breaded squid! service nice
Went to The Fry last night and I have to say I was really impressed. Past reviews really made me nervous based on the fact that some said the service was bad etc etc. We showed up around 7:30, the tables were full so we sat at the window which was perfectly comfortable, good chairs, good view of the street. We knew we wanted the green onion chicken but they said it would be about 20 minutes for the sauce to be ready so we decided to wait the 20 and get some sides to start. In the photo's you can see we ordered the calamari and corn with cheese. Both were really good, the calamari was a little chewy but the breading was good and we LOVED the sauce that came with. The corn with cheese came screaming hot, not really my cup of tea in the end but my boyfriend really enjoyed it. The chicken was really the crowning jewel of the night though (see pictures , the sauce was perfect, really sweet which went well with the chicken. It was really hot which I like, I hate getting what feels like old chicken when I go to chain restaurants. We opted for the boneless chicken large size, just to make it easier and each piece was amazing, super moist inside and crispy outside. If you do get the large size, it is a full chicken so beware but it's also only a $10 difference from small to large so we figured anything we didn't eat we'd just bring home (which we did, and in the oven it heated back up nicely, not as crispy but still very good .Over all I would say the service was really great. They give you water at your seat so you aren't constantly asking for refills, we didn't order drinks aside from that so I can't speak to how attentive they are for refills but based on the timely preparation of our food and any other requests we had, it was amazing for just 2 staff members tending to everyone. We'll definitely be back! It was worth the trek through -12 C weather :
I came here with a couple friends as we were curious to try it out. The decor was nice though quite cramped. Luckily we came when there weren't many other people. We got their lunch for two with the chicken in sauce which was easily enough for the three of us. The food was delicious but the side dish portions were very small; maybe 5 pieces of radish and no more than 20 noodles but I didn't mind since I didn't enjoy them very much and they were extras anyways. The service was polite and reasonably fast but nothing special. Overall I would come again and recommend to friends.

But it's an authentic Korean fried chicken experience, the food is amazing, and typical of Korean cuisine, they are quite generous with side dishes. If you choose to get take out, you will also get a can of coca cola free with your order. Not your average fried chicken joint, but it's definitely very good in my opinion.
