We had a wonderful Sunday afternoon here. The pub is a large, traditional English country establishment, beautifully decorated with a lovely fireplace that would create a cozy atmosphere on a cold winter's night. What Razzy Rascal doesn't like about The Rising Sun:
Lots of potential with this place and i doubt it would take much to drag it out of the doldrums. Barely functioning as a pub due to neglect. Some family members are working hard but are dragged down by others who seem uninterested. A classic pub. Very small but very friendly landlords and locals. Good range of drinks with local breweries.
Traditional pub real ale no frills just good old fashioned and honest. A gem.
The first time here. we felt very welcomed, especially by the renter with whom we had a nice chat. beautiful to see traditional pub qualities remain firm. we will be coming back
