Vona's - Oswego

75 years old Italian eatery. We were seated in the newest addition which was clean and nice, but not the atmosphere of the original area. Service was very friendly but as we were one of many tables sat in a short time span, the kitchen wasunderstandably a little backed up. Food was worth the wait. Large portions, good quality, reasonable prices. Highly recommend will return

Dined here on a night that prime rib was the special. It came with two sides, and the prime rib was a huge portion. I have never had a better prime rib in my life. Absolutely melt-in-your-mouth good. The Italian dressing on the side salad never disappoints.It is made in house, and I am always tempted to buy a pint of it from the kitchen after eating at Vona?s. This place isconsistently excellent, and I have never had any form of a bad experience here. Great service and even better food.

Home made egg noodles and meatballs in the spicy rigging sauce always good. My wife had the veal scalloped again excellent

The atmosphere was warm, charming, quite, even the mature crowd at bar kept it to a low rumble. The vintage 60's/70's decor and dim lighting took me back in time. My lasagne and stuffed hot cherry peppers was the best Italian food I've eaten in a very longtime. My waitress was humble, friendly, and attentive, without hovering. Vona's is a 10 in my book.

Fantastic meal at Vona's tonight! Ordered a lighter fare and it did not disappoint. French onion soup was full of flavor and the croutons and cheese made it exceptional. Staff felt like family. Comfortable atmosphere. A great experience!
