What an amazing experience. Came in after closing on our first day in Rome and was graciously greeted by the owner, his son, and wonderful staff. First we were told the chef and kitchen had closed. Then we were taken to the owners next suggestion a step over. They were closed. After a few more moments of consideration we were seated. Grabbed a table and had one of my most memorable meals yet. What D G doesn't like about Osteria Del Tempo Perso:
We went here for drinks before dinner. You sit on the steps with a nice view of the valley and ocean. The housewine (rosé was shockingly bad. Taste and quality. After 15 minutes I already had a headache. The prices are completely ridiculous. 10€ for a Spritz. We are from Munich, Germany and are used to high prices. They charge the price of a bar at a prime location in a big city. Because of the good reviews online we... View all feedback.
We went here last night for Dinner for my Sisters 50th Birthday. I had been twice before and I highly recommended to everyone much to my disappointment. It was so noisy and so busy and everything was I felt just thrown to us. We didn’t get to eat at the same time as one order came out wrong. We found it very rushed as they were concentrating on the next sitting. There was no atmosphere and staff looked so stressed out. I won’t be returning again as I felt really awful for rating it so well to my family and we did not have a good experience whatsoever
Great food in a quiet street and cozy atmosphere. Seabass tartarte and gnocchi were delicious. Jazz music playing in the restaurant was really good taste. They have also variety of coffees which was a bonus for me. Definetely reccomend it
This restaurant has a great setting and creates a lovely atmosphere but sadly that’s where it ends. They have a strange method of seating everyone at 7.30pm and I do mean every table which then have to be finished by 9.30pm for the next sitting. This strange approach just causes delays and as the restaurant can’t cope trying to serve everyone when we all arrive together. The result for us was that the orders were taken and arrived within 15 mins. It then took over an hour for the mains to arrive, followed by a quick push as to whether we wanted any dessert which came within 5 minutes of finishing mains followed by the bill as the dessert plates were cleared. A clear hurry up to get out. Instead of a leisurely meal, with well timed gaps between courses (as the price warrants) we ended up with a huge wait and then a rush. Overall a chaotic experience with a good starter and average mains. It is also worth noting that there is a two course minimum per person. Two of our daughters with smaller appetites wanted a main and dessert only to be told by the manager that they don’t do desserts. Needless to say starters were ordered to share by the girls to comply with the restaurant’s request, only for dessert menus to appear at meal end. Overall great setting, pretty disappointing food and service.

Then we were taken to the owners next suggestion a step over. They were closed. After a few more moments of consideration we were seated. Grabbed a table and had one of my most memorable meals yet. Service sublime. Meats and flavor absolutely delicious while personable. Octopus finely sliced and treated with tremendous flavor. From sweet to tangy to a texture which I can’t bring a word for. Our wine suggestion was great too. A $45 CAB which coming from the states could’ve easily cost $60. I’m sad to leave tonight and look forward to raving more about this place. To good health.

After we had our drinks and saw the terrace (cheap plastic chairs we decided against it and went somewhere else instead. Do not recommend. The staff was also not friendly and incompetent (had to ask for our bill and the previously ordered bottle of water twice . No, no, no.
