Whisky John's Bar and Grill - Oshawa

Just rolled myself out of Whiskey John’s in Oshawa. Food was delicious. Got the club, hubby got the whiskey burger, kids got some poutine and my mama got the Mac and cheese. We also ordered the party platter (app) cause it was a good deal. Mmmmmm, so good. Waitress (Sarah) was super super sweet and the patio had some good sun. Highly recommend. We have leftovers for days and days!!!!!

Totally Shocked with the horrible way they operate. Called to make a reservation because they are finally reopened for sit down service. We were told that it 's 1st come 1st serve so we all headed there. Walked in and the place had 6 people in total. There was 2 of us with 2 more coming and the waitress came over and told us they were at capacity. A couple at a table got up and said we could have thier table with another gentleman at another table saying he was leaving soon, Now there 's 3 people total in the restaurant. At this point it looked like 2 of us would have been sat down but she continued to tell us that she was at capacity with 3 people in total. The 3 people that were sat down started speaking out to the waitress to let us sit down and she still refused. At this point I 'm beside myself and started asking her questions as to why she wouldn 't sit us down. She then finally admitted that someone had called and said they would be there in 15 minutes and then proceeded to say what do you want me to do ?. I replied that we had alreay been there for 30 minutes. At this point we just shook our heads and walked out in shock and disappointment. I honestly don 't get why this happened because it made no sense to me that we were told 1st come 1st serve....., show up and told we can 't sit down because someone called ahead. Save yourself the aggravation and go elsewhere!!

Waitress was too busy to serve me talking to her friends. Waited 5 minutes at the door when she finally noticed me and told me to get on up there(referring to the bar area) so I did and she continued her very funny conversation apparently ignoring me completely. I waited patiently but she didn't seem too concerned about doing her job. Maximum 10 people allowed in restaurant is maybe too much for her to handle. I'm pissed because I didn't have time to go somewhere else for lunch. Won't be back.

I tried to order through UberEats (First time trying your restaurant). Nachos, a burger and wings. The total came to over $70 after fees /tip, etc. I cancelled my order right away, no more then 5mins after my order was placed. I was still charged by your restaurant $56.50 as a cancelation charge. I have brought up my issue with UberEats as well. Its really a shame because I will never try your restaurant after this mess.

Got the fish tacos. Hardly any fish in the breading, 3 pieces, not even as big as a gold fish inside. Skip the dishes says chipotle mayo, it was mustard sauce!!!! Bruschetta was totally soggy, could wring it out. Never ever waste your money on this ****
