However, after waiting well over an hour, I approached one of the waiters to find out if there was a problem. Eventually our meals arrived, but oh dear, what a disappointment. My skate wing was small and together with a few diced potatoes and some spinach, it looked more like a starter. Hence I ate my meal slowly, otherwise if I had eaten this fish dish at my normal pace, I would have finished it in a very short space of time. My friend said his pork was mostly fatty and my wife told me her lamb was warmish, but certainly not hot. The evening was also spoilt by several people at a table close by being extremely loud and very noisy, so much so, that conversation was to put it mildly extremely difficult. We eventually paid our bill, which we negotiated downwards. The manager was very sorry that we had a very disappointing meal and expressed his apologies. Nevertheless, although we consider ourselves regular customers of Cyprianis, we will not be in a hurry to return.

My only suggestion would be a little more choice for vegetarians. The wild mushroom risotto was delicious and we look forward to returning soon.

The staff were unprofessional and in experienced. Also a member of staff walking round chewing gum.
