El Capitan - Orihuela

Visited to play a bit of football with the kids and met the new owners. Very welcoming and plans for great improvements in the coming weeks including paddle courts, mini golf etc. I look forward to visiting again soon and seeing how things develop.

Went to a function recently at El Capitan and really enjoyed the bbq food and service on offer. The service was very good and the food was good and tasty.

Went here with my sister who had noticed the tower from the main road and fancied giving it a try. We walked there and arrived early afternoon. Initially we thought we’d made a mistake. The place is rustic and quirky if you’re being kind and scruffy if you’re not. We were warmly welcomed and sat at a table in the sun. We chose a fish platter and sole from the extensive fish and meat menu. They brought us a nice fresh salad each to start (included at no extra charge). The main courses were a lovely surprise. Lots of really tasty food cooked beautifully. The beer was good and my wife’s G&T required an extra tonic because there was so much gin. Toilets were clean and spacious. Three meals with drinks cost us around 65 euros, so not cheap but good value for the quality of food. We would definitely go back.

Excellent place to dine, in very nautical surroundings. The food and drink prices reflect that you are in a prime position. Morning coffee taken here can be very relaxing. Evening dining is suitable for that special occasion

Went to eat here after recommendations from friends. Can only say that the service food was excellent at a reasonable price. Salad was crisp fresh with a really tasty dressing. I ordered pork medallions cook with porcini mushrooms, the pork was cooked to perfection melted in your mouth. We ordered house wine rose red quality was good. Will definitely visit here again.
